What can Massage do for me?
The Benefits of Massage Therapy are vast! It can develop, maintain and rehabilitate or augment physical function. Often our lifestyle, long work hours or physically taxing job can stress our muscles, having a profound effect on our ability to stay active, participate fully in life or even make a living.
Massage (deep tissue or relaxation) can relieve or prevent dysfunction and pain. It relaxes tight and tense muscles, improves circulation and immune system function. This is very important as stress is a leading cause of heart disease and high blood pressure.
MLD (Manual Lymph Drainage) is the Massage Technique that is sweeping the globe! Pioneered in the 1930's to address immune system disorders, it is now recognized as a primary tool in the management of lymphedema. MLD is a specific massage technique performed using extremely light pressure, delivered in a slow, rythmic manner and in the correct sequence in order to effect complete fluid movement and evacuation.
MLD is widely used throughout Europe - recognized and recommended by the medical establishment with Doctors commonly prescribing MLD and both private and public health funds reimbursing such treatments.

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation is a non-invasive, safe nerve stimulation used to reduce pain - both chronic and acute. Electronic Muscle Stimulation is used for muscle toning/exercise. A non-invasive and safe method to ease muscle stiffness, inactivity or atrophy and spasms.
Deep Tissue
Deep Tissue Massage technique focuses on deeper layers of muscle tissue. It releases muscle tension and helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. Both corrective AND therapeutic, Deep Tissue Massage is an excellent source for relieving stress and pain!
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy doesn't just smell good. It's benefits include stress relief, mood enhancement, balance and overall well-being. While it doesn't "cure" major illnesses, it is effective at alleviating many of the discomforts associated with them.
MLD
A specific massage technique that assists the body to boost the immune system and establish resistance to all types of stress. NOT a muscular massage, it works above the muscle fascia to stimulate lymph fluid circulation and elimination to aid in detoxification of the whole body.
